End: Mar 25, 2026 11:00 AM
Location: Capital Market Partner-Webcasts

Target Group: Issuers, Deutsche Börse Capital Market Partner

After providing an initial overview of the topic in February, the second and final part of the webcast will now place a dedicated focus on AI. The speakers will give a compact overview of what is included in the package – including the proposed amendments to the GDPR, the Artificial Intelligence Act, and the NIS‑2 Directive. The focus will be on those adjustments that are expected to be particularly relevant for companies. In addition, we will look at how the political process is evolving.

The Digital Omnibus Package was presented by the European Commission in November 2025. The aim of the package is to simplify various technology‑related laws at EU level and to reduce the administrative burden these laws create for companies.

Speakers:

  • Anna Sophia Oberschelp de Meneses is Special Counsel in the Data Protection and Cybersecurity practice in Covington’s Brussels office. She advises companies on European data protection law and supports clients in coordinating international data protection projects.
  • Dr. Moritz Hüsch is a Partner in Covington’s Frankfurt office and Co‑Chair of Covington’s Technology Industry Group and Internet of Things (IoT) Group. His areas of focus include complex technology‑based licensing agreements and collaborations, outsourcing projects, commercial agreements, e‑commerce, m‑commerce as well as data protection and cybersecurity.
  • Wolfgang A. Maschek is Head of European Public Policy in Covington’s Brussels office. He represents both private and public clients at EU and national level in various regulated industries and political matters.
  • Kai Zenner is Head of Office and Digital Policy Advisor in the European Parliament, working on digital legislative projects, particularly on artificial intelligence, liability rules, data protection, and the digital transformation of the EU.
