What is BNP Paribas Easy?
BNP Paribas Easy is BNP Paribas Asset Management’s range of ETFs and index funds, covering three areas of expertise: ESG*, Smart Beta and the Essential range. It allows institutional and retail investors to benefit from exposure to the main asset classes (equities, bonds, commodities and listed real estate) and geographical areas.
A pioneering approach
The BNP Paribas Easy team is a pioneer in the development of numerous types of index management expertise. It was one of the first asset management teams to launch ETFs on low carbon, the circular economy and listed real estate. Its capacity for innovation and the quality of its management are regularly rewarded.
ESG at the heart of BNP Paribas Asset Management’s strategy
BNP Paribas Asset Management has been a member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) since 2003 and a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) since 2006. It has applied the Principles of the UN Global Compact since 2012, making it a reference asset manager. Created in 2017, BNP Paribas Asset Management’s Sustainability Centre brings together all of our expertise in ESG engagement, integration and research. A dedicated team of 24 experts is in charge of ESG research and implements an active and independent voting policy with the aim of promoting the use or adoption of good governance practices by companies. In 2018, at the end of the annual review by the PRI, BNP Paribas Asset Management’s ESG expertise was again recognised with an A+ score earned for its integration of ESG criteria constituting the basis for the extra-financial analysis implemented in investment processes.
BNP Paribas Asset Management is one of the three largest providers of ESG ETFs in Europe (Source: Bloomberg; May 2020).
