ROCKVILLE, Md. — ISS STOXX GmbH, a leading provider of comprehensive and data-centric research and technology solutions that help capital market participants identify investment opportunities, detect qualitative and quantitative portfolio company risks, and meet evolving regulatory requirements, today announced that Virginia (Ginny) Gomez will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of ISS STOXX on August 3, 2026. Ginny will have responsibility for overall leadership of the business which today includes more than 4,000 financial industry professionals operating across 34 global locations and spans four businesses: Index, Stewardship Solutions, Corporate, and Market Intelligence.
Ginny will replace Gary Retelny as President and CEO, who steps down from his role after more than 15 years with the company. He will continue to serve as an advisor to the board of ISS STOXX.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Ginny brings extensive strategic, commercial, operational, and marketing expertise to ISS STOXX. Prior to joining ISS STOXX, Ginny was with Dun & Bradstreet where she held the role of President of North America. Prior to that, she served as Executive Vice President of Product and Portfolio Management at TransUnion. She also held senior leadership positions at LexisNexis and PeopleFluent, among others. Ginny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
